Resideo had a smart home product, and they wanted to create an experience center in Austin to demonstrate all of the ways the product could help a homeowner.  In the center of the experience center was a surround movie experience, the first stop on the journey.  In the center of the room was a large red button, and once pressed the movie would begin.

This movie had smoke effects, smell effects and lighting.  The walls surrounded you.  When there was a flood, there was the smell of water.  When there was fire, a jet fuel smell would erupt.  Emmar was given this project by 900lbs, to create a sensory movie.  The intent was to create a scary pulse pounding experience.  Emmar took to this challenge, and it seemed a perfect fit.  The first draft of the film scared the stakeholders to thoroughly and had to be toned down.

Emmar created a script, a storyboard and animatic, and shot the experience, with the help of John Dempsey for some of the larger scenes.  This was an exciting work, and Emmar was grateful for the chance to design an experience that was likened to the Willy Wonka boat ride.
